For a solid-liquid separation project, an Italian industrial component manufacturer needed a flat screening element that could be incorporated into its assembly while maintaining precise slot control and structural stability.
The wedge wire flat screen uses V-shaped surface wires welded to support profiles, creating continuous slots across a smooth screening surface. This construction allows liquid to pass through the slots while retaining larger solids and provides a rigid structure for integration into filtration and separation equipment.
Because the customer had strict requirements for the finished component, the panel design went through several rounds of technical review. Particular attention was given to the screen dimensions, slot arrangement, profile orientation, support spacing and connection details so that the final construction matched the surrounding assembly.
After the technical details were fully aligned, the flat screen was manufactured to the finalized design. The completed component achieved the required dimensional fit and screening structure, providing a reliable wedge wire element for the customer's solid-liquid separation system.
