Mining Screen – High Wear Resistance with Rubber or PU Frames

Wedge wire mining screens consist of wedge-shaped wires, support rods and steel/PU/rubber frames. The Vee wires are continuous resistance welded onto round or trapezoid support rods, resulting in even slots, firm welds and high load capacity working screen. And it can be framed or reinforced with various materials, including rubber or polyurethane (PU), to enhance their strength, flexibility, and it can also be designed to facilitate the mounting of the screen in the screening equipment.

Wedge wire mining screens are available in various stainless steel materials, which provide long service life, high corrosive and abrasive resistance performance.

In mining, wedge wire screens can be used for dewatering, desliming, and heavy media recovery. They are often found in coal, gold, or mineral sands operations.

Versatile Material Options

Abrasive applications: Screen panels used in abrasive applications are manufactured from Grade 430 stainless steel. This is ferritic steel with no nickel, creating high abrasion resistance and good weldability.
Extreme abrasive application surfaces are hard-chromed on request.
Corrosive applications: Screen panels are constructed from Grade 304 stainless steel. This steel is made up of 18% chromium and 8% nickel making it durable and long-lasting.
Highly corrosive applications can be supplied with stainless steel grade 316.
