Wedge Wire Rotary Drum Screens for Various Wastewater Treatments

Wedge wire rotary drum screen is suitable for solid-liquid separation of various industrial wastewater treatments. It is very efficient and reliable when removing solids from wastewater as it can remove fine particles with a diameter of more than 0.05 mm. So how does it work?

The picture shows the location of wedge wire rotary drum screen in the filter.

Wedge wire rotary drum screen working diagram

Wedge wire rotary drum screen is mainly used for microporous filtration. It can separate small suspended impurities like animal hair, grease, fiber, pulp and paper from water to the maximum extent. Its working principle and steps are as shown below:

  1. The industrial wastewater to be filtered is piped to the rotary drum screen, and the liquid is evenly sprayed on the wedge wire rotary drum screen by pressure.
  2. The wedge wire rotary drum screen keeps rotating in the filter to intercept and retain the suspended solids in the liquid.
  3. With the continuous rotation of the wedge wire rotary drum screen, solid impurities slowly accumulated and concentrated together.
  4. The impurities are slowly removed from the filter screen by rotation. If the impurities are flocs, it can also clean the surface of the screen when it moves with the rotary drum screen to ensure the dredge performance of the screen.
