Scrubber Assembly: Wedge Wire Strainer & Pump Connection

Our scrubber assembly was custom-engineered for a long-term customer in Colombia. This complete unit includes a scrubber housing, pump-to-scrubber connection, and wedge wire strainer, all manufactured from SS316 stainless steel for superior corrosion resistance and long-lasting durability.

The project began with an inquiry for a wedge wire strainer that differed in dimensions from the customer’s previous order. However, the new drawings also featured connection parts at both ends – components we had not supplied before. We promptly confirmed whether these connections were also to be included in our scope and assured the customer of our full manufacturing capability. Thanks to the strong trust built through earlier collaborations, the customer confidently entrusted us with the project, requesting a trial quotation and sharing the scrubber housing drawings for our technical evaluation. After a detailed review, we confirmed our ability to produce the entire assembly and submitted a comprehensive, competitive proposal.

During production, our engineering team identified opportunities for design optimization. We recommended increasing the wall thickness of one connection pipe for enhanced strength and adding a vent hole to ensure superior welding quality. The customer approved these modifications.

Upon completion, we supplied the full documentation package, including Material Certificates, Quality Inspection Reports, and WPQ. The customer expressed great satisfaction with the final product.
